A Different Way to Learn Filmmaking
The GODS ON EARTH Short Film Program is an independent filmmaking program centered on developing auteur filmmakers, filmmakers with a personal voice, a distinct point of view, and the confidence to make creative choices of their own.
Across 12 sessions, participants develop an original short film from idea to completion through writing, directing, visual exploration, discussion, feedback, collaboration, production, and post-production.
We believe filmmaking is learned through the experience of making films. Rather than focusing on technical perfection, the program encourages experimentation, creative risk-taking, originality, and discovering new ways of expressing ideas through film within an intimate and supportive environment.
By the end of the program, each participant completes an original short film and presents it at a public screening.
Public Screening
The program concludes with a public screening of the completed films, giving you a finished film and public exhibition experience that strengthens your portfolio and supports future festival, grant, and funding applications.
The program is especially welcoming to first-time and emerging filmmakers.
No previous filmmaking experience is required.
